We were extremely thrilled to learn that our colleague Amy Keeling had been awarded Apprentice of the year. Amy joined our team as part of our Apprentice scheme and has since moved on to play a pivotal role in our Customer Services team.

We were extremely proud to learn that our Barbour partner store in Blackbrook, Newcastle-under-Lyme had been shortlisted for this prestigious award. Judges are looking for innovation and creativity in the design of the store, and a format which delivers strong performance and pays for itself in incremental sales.

Widely recognised as THE award for exceptional performance in business, this premier sector is open to companies with an annual turnover in excess of £5 million. Entrants needed to demonstrate outstanding success during their most recent full financial year were judged on criteria ranging from exceptional growth and increased trading profit through to development of services and products or new production techniques.

Candidates were required to demonstrate a significant role in developing profits, introducing new products and/or services, or opening up new markets. Evidence of determination to seek out and exploit new opportunities and help drive the company forward was almost certainly a key factor in the winner’s approach to business.

This award is open to all online brands and companies which can demonstrate exceptional customer service.
Being shortlisted as a finalist demonstrated that the business had gone the "extra mile" to really help their customers, that the proactive management and customer service team are the best in ecommerce, making the experience of buying and completing a sale through their channel of choice on the site an enjoyable and easy one.

Entrants were required to demonstrate a strong sales focus. Staff personal development and total involvement of the workforce in the growth of the business. In this 'digital' age, innovative approaches to product and service differentiation were key to success.
As the regional winner we were able to demonstrate entrepreneurial characteristics with dynamic and measurable systems in place, to monitor performance, financial controls, marketing and sales growth.
