The Barbour Sylkoil Hood (Classic Tartan Lining) is designed to fit and match Barbour's 'Classic' olive Sylkoil range of Barbour jackets. Generous size for optimum protection, with a removable stiffener in the rim, to help hold its position for the optimum combination of visibility and protection, and drawcord fastening.
With pure cotton Barbour tartan lining, this hood is studded for attachment to jacket collars with four press studs.

Hi is this hood suitable for a Beaufort Classic Jacket? What is the difference between the storm hood at a slightly higher price of £31.95?
Thanks for your question. We can confirm this hood is compatible with the Barbour Classic Beaufort Jacket. The Waxed Storm hood features a quilted lining, is slightly deeper and has a peak front.

I’ve got a Bedale green c44. Is this hood the right one?
Thanks for your question, as the Bedale jacket is designed in both Olive and Sage green, we would recommend confirming which colour code is detailed on the care label - OL for Olive or SG for sage. This hood would be suitable for the Olive (OL) Bedale and the Wax cotton hood (code: MHO0004) would be suitable for the Sage (SG) Bedale.

where will i get barbour classic sylkoil hood navy?

The Barbour medium weight, sylkoil hood is only available in Olive. We would recommend for you to look at the Barbour Waxed Cotton Hood, product code - 000899 or alternatively the Barbour Storm Waxed Hood, product code - 004382.
Please bear in mind not all of Barbour's waxed jackets have been designed to take a hood - for further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Do new hoods have same size poppers as my oldish Beaufort - I know the lightweight hoods have smaller fixing studs and do not fit?
