They are currently members of The Conservation Alliance, a group which has spent over 20 years protecting threatened wild places across North America, and Polar Bears International. Canada is home to more than two thirds of the world’s polar bear population, and Canada Goose is proud to be a Platinum sponsor of this not-for-profit organisation which is devoted to preserving the natural habitat of polar bears around the world through research and education.
The Polar Bears International Collection sees a portion of proceeds from every item sold donated to Polar Bears International, each piece in the collection is finished in stunning Royal Polar Bears International Blue and features branding to the left arm to pledge support. A big commitment…
One thing which remains true to Canada Goose is their deep and continuing commitment to the preservation of our global environment and the humane treatment of animals, a pledge which is an incredible achievement for a brand that relies so heavily on natural materials for production.
Canada Goose use natural down in their jackets due to the fact that they believe this is the world’s best insulator, providing approximately three times the warmth per ounce as synthetic insulators. Each ounce of down has approximately two million fluffy filaments that interlock and overlap to create insulating pockets of air which in turn help to keep you warm. Canada Goose only ever purchase down that comes as a by-product from the poultry industry, it is never collected from live-plucking, in line with the brands philosophical and ethical position.
Ambassadors…
There are many ambassadors of Canada Goose also known as Goose People, who rely on the brand for extreme weather protection during their active outdoor pursuits. A brilliant example of this is Jordan Romero, the youngest person ever to climb all seven summits of the world, also making him the youngest person to climb Mount Everest. Romero began with Mount Kilimanjaro aged just ten years old, and incredibly, had achieved all seven summits by the age of 13 years and 10 months!
From strength to strength
Over the last few years Canada Goose’ reputation in cold weather apparel has skyrocketed, and to this day the brand continues to excel itself, soaring as one of the world’s most established extreme weather brands.
Still made in Canada today, the brand firmly believes that the cold weather is vital to their identity and that, there are no better judges for the quality of their products than those for whom they were designed – and by whom they were inspired. Plus, Canada Goose add, they still believe that no one can do it better.
