Inspired by Barbour’s coastal origins, the Original North Sea Outfitters collection is new for 2016, and focuses on delivering only the very best in warmth and protection from the elements. Back in 1908, Barbour jackets were sold as the ideal jackets for “Yachting” “Fishing” and “Boating”, with the Sylkoil Beacon coats being sold to officers of the merchant navy and fishermen in Barbour’s North East homeland.
The rugged landscape and harsh weather conditions of the North Sea coast heavily influences this season’s designs, with styles offering waterproofing, exclusively designed blanket linings and internal baffle quilts alongside chunky knits for the ultimate protection against the elements. This season the tones are indigo and bark, offering a classic colour palette to easily complement your existing wardrobe. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the wide range of jackets available, while the shirts, gilets and knitwear offer incredible style and casually cool pieces that can be layered up over the colder months.
