Now firm favourites of the Barbour house, the men’s Original North Sea Outfitters collection and the women’s Coastal collection make welcome returns for AW17, offering that timeless style we know and love. Since the Barbour story began all the way back in 1894, with the production of garments for sailors, fishermen, rivermen and dockers to protect them from the worst of the North Sea weather, it’s only right that their men’s and women’s collections reflect this rich, seafaring history. Rugged, practical and effortlessly stylish designs feature across the men’s ONSO collection, bringing the drama of the North East coastline right to your wardrobe; the women’s collection meanwhile is designed around the stylish and active woman, with practical designs that ensure you look and feel fantastic whatever the activity!
The Original North Sea Outfitters collection focuses in on warmth and practicality. Double storm fronts, four pocket jackets, fixed hoods and drawstring hems create strong silhouettes alongside heavily washed shirts and tees. A pop colour of burnt gold adds effect in a collection designed to appeal. This collection offers a slightly different take on the Barbour look, providing the same high quality we have come to expect from this premium brand, but has an altogether different look than the quintessentially country styles often associated with the brand.
Designed for the stylishly active, rich navy, reds and greens feature strongly throughout the women’s Coastal collection injecting colour into this season’s wardrobe. Designed especially with our changeable weather in mind, new wax silhouettes and longer length baffle quilts in soft handles add warmth alongside fishing knot inspired textured knitwear and unique spray painted yarns. Bold checks and printed shirts and tees with coastal themes and new baffle quilt sport sweats are the perfect layering pieces for this time of year. This is a wardrobe of clothes that can easily be mixed and matched to create different stylish and versatile looks.
