Barbour often look to their heritage as a means of inspiration, and this season both Barbour’s history and a piece of British maritime history come together to inspire the Spirit of Adventure collection. This season’s collection is inspired by Barbour’s 1928 catalogue cover, in which Northumberland heroine Grace Darling appeared on the cover. Darling is remembered for her brave actions during a violent storm in 1838, where ages just 22, she participated in the rescue of nine sailors whose ship the ‘Forfarshire’ had wrecked near to the Farne Islands. Darling’s daring actions inspired Barbour’s latest collection, which has strong maritime influences and features a range of practical, adventure ready clothing for fearless heroines everywhere.
The Spirit of Adventure collection gets a warm and cosy update for Autumn Winter, with quilted jackets, fleece lined waxes and, of course, a range of waterproofs for the typical British weather!
