An essential for any walking holiday is a strong pair of boots. I wore the Hanwag Banks GTX Boots which were kindly gifted to me by Hanwag.
Having been very excited to try the boots, I was mightily impressed from the moment I put my foot in them. They offered comfort straight out the box and felt great to wear without any rubbing, pinching or the need to break them in.
Designed specifically for walkers, the boots felt lightweight to wear and offered excellent protection around the ankle and to the toes, even when facing rocks and bumps on trickier terrains. They offered me full waterproofing in wet conditions and allowed me to take on mud and puddles without getting my feet soggy. The thick Vibram sole also offered excellent cushioning to my foot, as well as grip down hills and on slippery surfaces. After long walks, I also felt no pain or feelings of fatigue.
Overall, I’d recommend these boots for any walking holiday or weekend adventure, they helped me to walk over 50 miles throughout my trip, and I enjoyed every step without any discomfort or pain. They simply felt great to wear, and I can’t wait for many more adventures in them.

Men’s Fjallraven Vardag Anorak
As we all know, an essential for UK walking holiday is a strong waterproof. I took my Fjallraven Vardag Anorak. It helped me to stay dry throughout my trip and its lightweight design made it perfect for walking. It also includes an adjustable hood, pockets and packed away easily into my backpack.
Fjallraven Kanken Backpack
Again, for any walking holiday a good backpack is essential. I’d recommend the classic Fjallraven Kanken. It prevented back problems and features adjustable straps and had enough space for storing my waterproof and water bottle.
Men’s Barbour Houghton Socks
For teaming with my Hanwag boots, I wore my Men’s Barbour Houghton Socks. They felt exceptionally comfortable to wear and kept my feet cool and blister free.
