We are pleased to announce that we scooped two awards at last night’s prestigious Sentinel Business Awards. We achieved the coveted Business of the Year Award; and our Managing Director was awarded Young Business Person of the Year as well as being a runner up in the Entrepreneur category.
The Sentinel Business Awards set out to reward the very best, most innovative and successful firms locally and this year turned out to be the most competitive yet, with over 130 entries. The evening held at the Kings Hall was very enjoyable and played host to some of the leading businesses in the county seeing a total of 12 awards handed out. Local entrepreneur John Caudwell also attended and gave a speech “The people who were nominated for these awards demonstrate that the Potteries has a future as well as a history”
The Business of the Year Award is seen as the most coveted award; we had to demonstrate outstanding success during our most recent financial year and were judged on criteria from exceptional growth to increased trading profit. To secure the Young Business Person of the Year Award our Managing Director Jonathan Capener demonstrated that he played a significant role in developing the business and exploiting new opportunities.
These awards have come not long on the back of the Chamber of Commerce Awards when we took home Business of the Year Award and Excellence in Customer Service for the West Midlands Region so this has got all the team really excited and geared up for the year ahead.
Jonathan Capener said of the news ”this is a fantastic accomplishment for the Company and due reward for the hard work and dedication shown by my excellent team, thanks must also go to our loyal customers who have enabled us to grow the business to record levels. It was humbling also to win the Young Business person and to be runner up in the Entrepreneur category, the awards recognise the great achievements of local business and it’s an honour to be a part of them.”
