What I’m taking to Glastonbury Festival
The tickets are booked, the line up is out and the tent is brought, all’s there is to do now is to start thinking about what I’m going to wear. Here is a short guide on what I’ll be taking to Glastonbury.
Clothing
Like at all UK Festivals, a high performing waterproof is an absolute essential for Glastonbury. I’ve chosen the Barbour Lowland Waterproof Jacket, it is lightweight, stylish and will keep me completely dry when the heavens (inevitably) open.
For those cooler nights in the campsite, I’ll be layering up in the Barbour Lowland Fleece. It boasts a sleek aesthetic and will offer me both comfort and warmth all night long. I’m going to team this with the Barbour Lowland Shorts to complete my look.
Footwear
Any regular festival goer knows that the most important part of your festival attire is what’s on your feet. This can seriously make or break the enjoyment of your weekend. To cover both weather eventualities, I’m going to be taking both walking shoes and wellies. The Men’s Hanwag Low Bunion Boots are sturdy, cushioning and are GORE-TEX lined for insulation and waterproofing. They will keep me comfortable on the long walk to the campsite. If the rain pours in and the fields get muddy, I’ll then turn to the Men’s Hunter Original Commando Chelsea Boots. These are a Glastonbury classic and will keep my feet dry and comfortable when going to and from stages.
Everything else
It doesn’t stop at clothing and footwear however, there is also some must-have accessories. The first being a strong and comfortable bag that is big enough to carry everything you’ll need for the weekend. For this I’ve chosen the Fjallraven Kaipak Backapack, it is spacious, full of pockets and features padded shoulder straps for comfortable carrying when heading to the campsite. I’ll also be taking the Barbour Cascade Bucket Hat and the Oakley Latch Sunglasses to keep me cool and protected from the sun. Lastly, I’ll be packing the Yeti Rambler 18oz Bottle. This is durable, leakproof and can be easily refilled at the various water stations around the festival.
