The Barbour Beaufort is one of Barbour\u2019s most long-standing jacket styles, sitting alongside the Bedale <\/a>and the Border. This trio of styles form the foundation of the Barbour waxed jacket range we see today. The Beaufort is a mid-length style, with the Bedale being shorter and the Border <\/a>being longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbour Heritage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First produced back in 1983, the Barbour Beaufort Original Jacket recently celebrated 50 years in the Barbour range. The original was produced with a sage green outer and a Dress Gordon tartan lining. It also had press studs to accommodate a snap-in warm pile lining. Today\u2019s models have the same cut as the original but feature new Barbour tartan linings and a secondary zip for adding a zip-in liner<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally designed for country sports, the Men\u2019s Barbour Beaufort Jacket<\/a> features a full-width rear game pocket, raglan sleeves, handwarmer pockets, bellow pockets, and drainage eyelets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Barbour Beaufort Wax Jacket is available in a choice of colours, Black, Sage, Bark and Navy. Each outer colour is teamed with a complimentary Barbour tartan inner and is crafted from Barbour\u2019s 6oz waxed cotton. The Barbour Classic Beaufort Jacket<\/a> comes exclusively in classic Olive and is made from sylkoil waxed cotton with a slightly brushed finish.

Both jackets share the same generous fit, designed to allow for layering and an optional liner. They are both also equipped with a detachable storm throat flap and studded corduroy collar to accommodate an detachable hood<\/a>. Hoods and liners <\/strong>come in a range of colours, each lined with a Barbour tartan to match the different Beaufort jacket shades.
