This week, we take a look at some of the Great British summer festivals…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each year, British festival goers can choose from a variety of events focusing on different genres and interests that appeal to both the masses and those with niche tastes too. With June being a particularly exciting month, we have put together a blog highlighting a few of the festivals you might be planning to go to or have already attended.<\/p>\n

The Download Festival is one of the larger annual summer festivals that caters to fans of rock and metal with world famous bands all performing for the 100,000 festival goers who turn up each year. 2013 proved to be a great year for the festival, with names such as Iron Maiden, Slipknot and Rammstein all making an appearance at some point over the weekend. Beginning on Friday the 14th<\/sup> of June and finishing on Sunday the 16th<\/sup>, attendees were treated to a packed schedule of hair raising performances from the biggest names in rock.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the Isle of Wight festival also went down well<\/a>\u00a0with the Stone Roses, the Killers and Bon Jovi playing for the 50,000 strong crowd. Last year was a washout, so thankfully the 2013 festival was much dryer.<\/p>\n

However, there is still plenty of the summer left to enjoy though and one of the most famous festivals is just about to start. Glastonbury is another one of the larger festivals which boasts over 100,000 attendees who will enjoy music from some of the biggest names, including the Arctic Monkees, Chase and Status and even the Rolling Stones.
