We have a few ideas to keep boredom at bay this summer…<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Parents face the same problem every year, when summer comes around and school is out, it\u2019s only a matter of time until the sound of their children exclaiming \u201cI\u2019m bored\u201d is ringing in their ears. So this year, we thought that we would put together a few ideas for you to keep everyone entertained, there\u2019s so much going on that will make you want to pull on your walking boots and head outdoors.<\/p>\n

Cowes Week, Isle of Wight<\/h2>\n

This gathering takes place from the 3rd<\/sup> to the 10th<\/sup> of August and is the ideal nautical adventure for any family looking for an exciting summer excursion.\u00a0 Cowes week is one of the longest running sporting events and is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world. One of the most exciting events of the week sees the \u201cwhite group\u201d of small open boats take on the \u201cblack group\u201d of larger boats who have competed against each other in the Solent every year since 1826. The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta<\/h2>\n

Europe\u2019s largest ballooning event is celebrating its 35th year this August and if you make your way to Bristol between the 8th<\/sup> and the 11th<\/sup>, you are sure to see some spectacular sights in the skies. \u00a0We particularly like the sound of \u201cBreakfast and Balloons\u201d, which is held each morning from 6am, allowing you to enjoy food whilst watching balloons take-off during sunrise.\u00a0 A fantastic summer treat for all the family. Camp Bestival<\/h2>\n

The \u201clittle sister\u201d festival of ‘Bestival’ held at Lulworth Castle in Dorset is perfect for families with small children. Featuring a plethora of activities and entertainment for everyone to enjoy, from pop acts such as Labrinth and DJ sets to \u2018Comedy Club 4 Kids\u2019 and Dick \u2018n\u2019 Dom. This family festival is all about music, arts, food, shows, camping and much more, we don\u2019t think you will have trouble keeping everyone entertained, you can have a look at this year\u2019s line-up here<\/a>.\u00a0The festival is held on the first weekend of August between the 1st<\/sup> and 4th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n
