1. Aigle – The Heritage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Aigle<\/a> first started producing wellies back in 1853 and have since become worldwide renowned producers of quality rubber footwear, utilising over 160 years design experience in the making of each and every pair of wellingtons adorned with the Aigle logo.

To date, Aigle have produced over 50,000,000 pairs of wellies! The name Aigle is French for \u201cEagle\u201d and is also represented by the in-flight bird which can be seen in the circular part of the logo, given by the founder of Aigle as a symbol of freedom, power and nobility, in keeping with the brands overall aim was to design footwear which allows people to enjoy nature without worrying that their wellies wouldn’t be up to the job. 3. Aigle Wellies – Handmade Quality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are over 60 steps in making Aigle wellies<\/a>; each crafted using only natural rubber to give high resistance to wear and tear and to retain elasticity even when cold. To start the rubber is mixed, milled and cooled again, then all of the rubber components are assembled by hand on aluminium lasts, meaning that every boot is unique with its own control number specifying the month, year, work station and operative. The sole is then fixed to the upper, and the whole boot vulcanised at 140\u00b0C for 1 hour under 45dpi of pressure. After this, each and every boot is visually inspected and tested for full waterproof capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
