Rated 4 out of 5 by Phillippa from Fabulous boots. Fit has changed since my last pair I love these boots. My second pair - and whilst they are a lot of money they are worth every penny. I wore my last pair almost every day and they lasted for years. HOWEVER THE FIT HAS CHANGED since I bought my last pair and I struggle to get these on. Once on, they fit me in the foot just as the last pair but getting my foot in is a MASSIVE struggle. They are simply too tight on the turn into the foot from the leg. Major problem. I will persevere but this is a new problem. My last pair did not have this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LisaChe from Fabulous boots I bought a brown pair of these from John Lewis and loved them so much that I wanted a black pair too. Ordered the black pair from Outdoor and Country. Service was good and received them promptly and the boots were lovely. Just one thing to watch is the European sizing. A size 8 at John Lewis is a 41 but at Outdoor & Country it is a 42 so sadly, I had to return them as they were too big. Completely my fault as I didn’t think to check. The returns process was very easy and free. I will be ordering a smaller pair when they’re back in stock. I’ve never spent so much on footwear before but they’re the best boots I’ve ever had and well worth the price tag.

Do these boots come up big or small ?
The pair I have (size 39) fit fine but I would say a little tighter on the ankle when you put your foot in than my walnut coloured ones. Slightly different toe shape.

Do the dubarry boots have a zipper. I need warm boots for walking thru mud and water.
They do not have a zipper, but are definitely warm and perfect for walking through mud/water

I need the bigger size on the legs thank you for helping
I ordered my correct size , I have a neat ankle with a strong calf muscle , I find the leg quite roomy. Not tight at all. A good quality boot.

Hello, I was wondering if the Galway boot is unisex? I am a size 9 but my legs are slimmer... I once tried a pair of men’s on but the were too wide at the calf. I have a pair of Le Chameau wellies and a size 9 calf measuring 42cm. they fit me well.
Thank you for your question and your interest in our products. We can confirm that the Galway boots are a unisex style and popular with both men and women. If you are looking for a slimmer calf then you may wish to consider the Galway Slimfit Boots. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

I am size 39. Should I order true to size ? Or go up? Wondering what the fit will be like once in thicker socks ?
I would go up a size. The fit is quite snug and I needed to return the original pair I bought back for a bigger pair.
