Rated 3 out of 5 by Cynosure from Pity not made as well as 30 years ago I am 55 years old and always worn Hunters. I think they are great boots and I wear them almost every day, just to step out of my home, if I am not going to work, requires me to put them on. I treat them like slippers for outside the house. However, gone are the days when they used to last 5 to 10 years, now I am lucky if I can make them last 2 years. Yes, they get hard wear, but the glue around the seam fails and the chemistry of the rubber now used is not quality and it perishes by year 2. In the picture is a pair that I bought August 2018, it is now Aug 2020. In the first year the seams came apart and I glued them back with a rubber contact adhesive. In the last year the rubber perished and split in several places. Would I buy them again? Yes, for me they are still the best boots around and I almost live in them, just do not expect them to last the way they used to.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hunter and heels from Disappointed I was really disappointed with the quality of these wellingtons which were bought as a Christmas gift for my son. This is because compared to my 5 year old Hunters they do not have the same inner cotton lining and therefore feel very inferior quality. My husband also purchased some new Hunters for my Christmas gift and I found the same quality issue, which means they do not feel so nice when you are wearing them and your feet get cold. Very disappointed given the price of these wellingtons, what a shame that a brand like Hunters seems to be going degrading it’s brand and product.
