- How to re-proof your wax product, using Barbour Thornproof Wax Dressing:
- 1.You require a pan of hot water and soft cloth or sponge
- 2. Choose a warm room or outside on a hot day
- 3. Stand the tin in hot water to soften dressing
- 4. Work the dressing well into the garment using the cloth or sponge
- 5. Pay attention to seams, creases and dry patches
- 6. Rub in well, don't just paint on
- 7. Do not use excess dressing
- 8. For a 'factory' finish, blow evenly with a hairdryer
- 9. Hang the garment overnight in a warm place
- Never use hot water, detergents, solvents or soap
- Do not dry clean or machine wash

Very pleased!!
I bought this coat looking for a stylish, yet practical and comfortable, jacket. I have not been disappointed! It is all those things as well as beautifully wind and rain proof. It has all the qualities you would expect from Barbour. I bought the Barbour fleece lining from elsewhere to add extra warmth. I would recommend buying a size bigger than you normally would do a jumper underneath is a comfortable fit. Out Door and Country were efficient and professional and I received the product within 4 days. Overall, I couldn’t be more satisfied!

Superb service
Acouple of weeks ago i bought a wax jacket from you ,which is not easy online .I made several mistakes during the process and up having 3 deliveries,but your staff mainly Carina, she made excuses to make me feel as though it was not my fault,which of course it was.the way your company dealt with my problems ,was nothing more than slick and superb.these are very difficult times ,but dealing with outdoor & country was an absolute pleasure ,it was my first encounter with you and it wont be the last ,and congrats on your choice of staff.

Ho appena comprato un barbour international verde taglia 36 (corrisponde ad una small) il prodotto è stupendo però consiglio ,se non si è troppo robusti, di acquistare una taglia in meno io sono alto 1,83 per 70 kg e mi sta benissimo .

Barbour never disappoint
I purchased this jacket from the website and it arrived very well. Happy with the quality of the fabric. It's a Barbour, a sure bet. The cut is wider than other new internationals. Its a relaxed fit so take your true size. The belt will give you a slim fit for a flattering shape while it allows room to put a heavy wool sweater underneath the jacket without being snug by the jacket.

top jacket allways wanted one if its good for steve mc queen its goodenough for me good jacket the cuff,s are tight and you cannot alter them but the jacket is top shop well made and nice to wear just dont sit down on your furniture until worn in as you will get wax allover as it is well waxed the jacket will get better with age and wear .

I purchased this jacket recently and am very pleased with the quality of manufacture. I already have 2 Barbour coats and feel the quality of this coat is the best yet. I have not yet worn it outdoors due to summer weather. The supplier of the jacket was first class for a free delivery.

Hi has this reinforced shoulders, waterproof membrane and facilities to fit body armour?

We can confirm that this jacket does not have reinforced shoulders or a waterproof membrane. However, as this jacket is waxed with a thornproof dressing it is highly weatherproof and its weatherproofing can be maintained through re-waxing.

Hi I find the Barbour men’s jacket sizing confusing.....does a 52 mean a 52 inch chest for example the Barbour international classic
If you are looking at the UK and USA measurements for XXXL
Then it would be 52 inches for the chest measurements.

Can jacket be ordered without flag emblem

We can confirm that there are 2 style of jackets that do look quite similar. The style without the Union Jack flag is the Original Wax jacket, Product Code: 000326 / MWX0004. The style that features the flag is the Union Wax jacket - Product Code: 003159 / MWX0068.

Can be wear in rain ?

Hi, Can you clarify if the Sage, original international jacket comes with the brass buckles for the belt and neck strap. I’ve seen places showing the black buckles as well. Really prefer the brass and want to be sure if I order this is what I’ll get.

Just before placing my order I'd like to be sure about the right size for me to purchase. My shoulders are 46 cm., my chest is 104 cm. and I'm 180 cm. in height. I'd like the jacket neither too tight nor too loose. Maybe 34 UK size? Thanks.
Honestly I'm not able to give a serious answer. I just know i've ordered a too small size and I had to change to take the larger one. I wish you some chance... MR.
