How wide is the brim of this hat? I love the fedora style but some hats can be a bit overwhelming if too wide as I’m a petite build. Thanks!

Thanks for your question. As a guide to find the best fit we advise using a soft tape measure, placing it around your head, positioned mid-forehead and just above the ears and to compare this measurement to the following hat sizes for the best fit:

Can the hat be sprayed with a water repellent ie the spray you can use on shoes?
Thanks for your question, as this style is 100% wool, it will offer some level of water resistance. However the brand do not recommend using additional waterproofing products on this item.

I am buying one of your Barbour fedora hats in olive melange for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. You quote a head circumference of 57cm for a small, is that correct? If its not the right size can it be returned after Christmas?
Thanks for your question. We can confirm the small measures approximately 57cm | 22" . Our returns policy has currently been extended from 28 days to 90 days which will cover Christmas returns.
